Garden Route Botanical Gardens

garden route botanical gardens1

Situated at the top of Caledon Street, in the town of George, the Garden Route Botanical Garden is worth a visit for its value as a 'green lung' but also for the role it plays in raising awareness about the unique kind of flora that exists in the Garden Route.

It is a wonderfully restorative space in which to simply rest and study both flora and animals that make this area their home. Garden Route Botanical Garden is open to the public at no cost

The George airport is a mere 15 minutes away. We have fantastic bathing beaches such as Buffallo Bay, Gerrickers Beach (Sedgefield), Herolds Bay and world renown surfing beach Vic Bay and The Point in Mossell Bay.

The George Garden Route shopping malls are a 10 minute drive towards Knysna. For grocery shopping within the area you can go to the Mini Pick ‘n Pay in Courtney street as they stay open until 10 pm every night or the large Checkers at the bottom of York street.

We are a 5 minute drive from both of our medical facilities for any emergencies. See George Mediclinic or the George Provincial hospital. Chemists are open until 9 pm most nights, I recommend the Coetzee Pharmacy in York Street.
